Art 2008 - 13th Annual Juried Art show
The annual juried art exhibition at the Harlow Gallery draws artists to Hallowell from all over the state of Maine. Join us for the opening celebraton on May 9th to experience great artwork from all corners of the state. Free and open to the public, refreshments will be served. $1200 in prize money will be awarded to artists in an awards ceremony beginning at 6:30 PM Friday, May 9th at the opening celebration of Art2008.

Augusta Symphony Orchestra
Augusta Symphony Orchestra and the Bossov Ballet, on stage. the music for this first-time joint venture is drawn from a range of composers and eras, stretching from George Frederick Handel's 18th-century Baroque masterpiece, "Water Music," through to the 20th-century, featuring great pieces by the urbane Frenchman, Maurice Ravel, his fellow countryman, Camille Saint-Saens, and finally, the Soviet Union's Sergei Prokoflev. Performances are 7PM May 9 & 10th with a 2 pm matinee on May 10. Fee.
