Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce
On behalf of the Board and Members of the Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce, I
want to welcome you to Maine's Capital region.
Augusta, Maine's Capital City, and its neighboring cities and towns are rich in
history, culture, industry and commerce.
Dozens of lakes and streams, the great Kennebec River and beautiful rolling, forested
hills of the Capital area offer residents and visitors a unique natural environment
and a high quality of life.
As the seat of State Government and a major hub of business and industry, the Capital
area harbors a vibrant economy and offers opportunities for new business development.
The Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce in
the Waterville area have formed a strong economic alliance called the People of
the Kennebec. FirstPark - Maine's Premier Technology Center, is one product of this
collaboration. In 2005 T-Mobile opened a FirstPark facility expected to employ more
than 700 area people. 
The Kennebec Valley is a special place and we take great pride in it. Enjoy your
