Friends Camp

June 26 – July 9: Age 7-12

During the four regular camp sessions we are a special place where youth have time for play and for reflection, with creative arts, non-competitive games, waterfront activities, drama, discussion, and many other interesting and creative activities. Friends Camp is a diverse and caring community that nurtures unique personalities each camper brings to camp.

Each session is full of many options, such as swimming, sailing, canoeing, crafts, games, and an overnight expedition to Indian Island on China Lake. Some of our campers come from Quaker families, but most hail from other backgrounds. We welcome youth of all faiths as well as those who identify with no particular faith at all. With our six-to-one camper-counselor ratio, Friends Camp is a wonderful place for friendships to grow.

The regular youth camp sessions usually accommodate between 72 and 104 campers, with 24 counselors. The tuition for the two weeks of Jones, Dyer, Fox, and Fell camps is between $775 and $975. Campers can attend Friends Camp for up to two sessions (four weeks). If your 7 to 10 year old child is not ready to attend Friends Camp for the full two-weeks, you might wish to send him or her for just one week during our Jones Camp. You may choose between Jones Week One (starting on June 26th) or Jones Week Two (starting on July 3rd). The tuition for one week of Jones Camp is between $450 and $550.
