Get in the holiday spirit with Gardiner businesses and community members in our month-long Days of Light Celebration kicking off on Saturday, November 25th on Small Business Saturday (also known as Shop Local Saturday).

Days of Light Holiday Celebrations Calendar of Events

Saturday, November 25th:
Small Business Saturday, promotional activities, raffles, and more for shoppers during Small Business Saturday. Visit the Gardiner Main Street table located inside the Gardiner Food Co-op & Café.

  • Friday, December 1st:
    Festival of Trees, Johnson Hall, 280 Water St. 12-8pm
    Gardiner Rotary Christmas Tree Sale, Hannaford Parking Lot, 1pm-8pm
    Cookie Walk by SpinOff Studio, Water Street, 5:30 - 8:00pm
    Downtown Tree Lighting, Johnson Park, 5-6pm: Group Caroling at 5:10pm, Holiday Street Dance by Ampersand Academy of Dance 5:45pm, Santa lights the tree at 5:50pm followed by group caroling.Gardiner Artwalk, Water Street Downtown Gardiner, 5:30-8:30pm
  • Saturday, December 2nd:

Tuesday, December 5th:
Art at the Library, decorate holiday cookies with frosting and edible decorations! Children's Room, Gardiner Public Library, 152 Water Street, 6pm

Wednesday, December 6th:
Facetime - monthly social networking event, holiday special celebration hosted by SpinOff Studios, 5-7pm, 252 Water St.

Friday, December 8th:
Polar Express Movie, Johnson Hall, 280 Water Street, 7-9pm

Saturday, December 9th:
Polar Express Movie, Johnson Hall, 280 Water Street, 1-3pm

Saturday, December 16th
Wreaths Across America, get involved in Gardiner. You are invited to join us on December 16th to help the placing of remembrance wreaths at the Oak Grove and St. Joseph's Cemeteries. A brief program, starting at 10:30 am will be held at the center of the cemetery with the placing of wreaths to commence shortly after.

Sunday, December 17th:
Annual Latke Party, hosted by Two Gramps Brewing, 266 Water St. details TBA

Sunday, December 24th:
Christmas Eve Shopping Extravaganza, many Downtown shops will be open on Sunday for your last minute gift needs!
