The Tread Fest is a 2-day race event with trail running races on day one and mountain bike stage race on day two.

Our mission is simple: we strive to bring a high quality event to the Capitol District, bring the community together, and raise funds for the two organizations that work on our local trails. The Tread Fest is run by volunteers and all proceeds go back into the trails at Bond Brook and other surrounding trails. The Tread Fest is hosted by Augusta Trails and Central Maine NEMBA.

Here are the highlights of our changes for 2019:
* Runner now on Friday night. Food, beer, and tunes to follow the event.
* Long course runners will have the chance to tackle our most challenging course yet. A 9 mile leg and lung busting challenge, that could be the hardest trail run in the state. Are you up for it??
* Riders, the 6 and 4 hour Stage 1 is a thing of the past. We are back to our roots and Stage 1 is now a Cross Country style event with a choice of 1,2, or 3 laps on a new course. Stages 2 and 3 are still similar to past years.
* Riders now have a choice of 3 different Omnium events to choose form: Mild, Medium, Spicy.

The entrance to the Tread Fest will be Bond Brook Recreation Area's beautiful new access road, Tall Pines Way. The GPS coordinates for the BBRA entrance are 44o19'50.63" N and 69o47'35.97"W. It is 600 ft. west of Civic Center Drive on Bond Brook Road. There will be NO entrance through the cemetery.
