Evidence-based HR refers to the process used to evaluate decisions or processes against data, real experience, expert opinions and other types of information.  As an HR professional, how does one determine and weigh which research to use in your decision making process?  In today’s media, results of research findings are often confusing and the translation of the results are often misleading.  Ever wonder about the difference between randomized control study, a survey study and an expert opinion? Come and learn about the concept of a scientific research process as Dr. Kenji Saito, MaineGeneral’s Workplace Health Medical Director, discusses the hierarchy and levels of evidence.  Take these concepts and let’s apply how this would work with FMLA, workers’ compensation, STD and LTD.
