United Way of Kennebec Valley is hosting a family friendly drive-in movie night for its Campaign Kickoff!

A food and basic needs collection drive to support several local nonprofits will be open from 2-5pm. Items needed include: non-perishable food, toilet paper, toothpaste, bar soap, and other toiletries. Just drive-through and drop off your items any time during this window!

The Drive-in event is free and open to the public. Donations to UWKV will be accepted at the drive-in entrance and throughout the event. With any donation, you'll receive a complimentary movie snack pack, complete with popcorn, candy, and drinks. The following food trucks will be on-site: Pinky's D's Poutine, Salty Dog BBQ, and Ye Olde English Fish & Chips.

Please note: alcohol will not be permitted and masks will be required to be worn at all times while outside your vehicle or assigned parking spot.

So, clean out that COVID stockpile and join us for a night of fun! Our capacity is 200 cars, so get your ticket before we sell out!

SCHEDULE:

• 2-5 pm - COVID Stockpile Donation Drive-Thru (Civic Center, North Wing parking lot).
• 5-6 pm - Parking lot open for Kickoff event (Civic Center, main parking lot). NO entrance after 6pm.
• 6 pm - UWKV Campaign Kickoff presentation followed by Disney's "Up".
  • Note: there will be an opportunity to leave after the United Way presentation.
