Boston is still remembered for responding quickl y and sending up a train with supplies and people the following day. They a re still celebrated this day with a Christmas tree that is sent from Halifa x to Boston each year.\nHowever, Maine also played a role in the relief eff ort. Mainers joined the Boston relief train and we sent up supplies and a N ational Guard troop of our own.
