Thomas College seeks innovative and self-motivated live-in professional staff members to join our Student Affairs team as Professional Staff (Resident Director and/or Area Coordinator (dependent on experience)) within the department of Residential Life. Reporting directly to the Dean of Students/Director of Residential Life and Housing, the Residential Life Professional Staff will have responsibilities in supervision of the paraprofessional staff, administration and community development within their residential area, on-call duties and emergency response. In addition, the Residential Life Professional Staff will devote a portion of their time assisting with housing & facilities, programming and community development and staff training and development. The Residential Life Professional Staff positions are an 11 month, live-in administrative position that would operate outside of traditional business hours.
The successful candidates must have Bachelor's degree in Higher Education or related field, with a Master's degree preferred, minimum of one year previous experience in Residence Life, good administrative, supervisory and organizational skills, and be able to effectively communicate with students and other campus and community constituents. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and ability to pass the College’s vehicle and criminal background check.
