Get ready for Summer with the ASO!
We'll kick things off with our 3rd annual Maine Capital Fourth! This exciting partnership with the Augusta Civic Center is a family-friendly, rain or shine, free event to celebrate community and music together on July 4th. This year, we will be joined by Coda Chorus to add some extra special vocal pieces to our concert lineup! The event starts at 2pm. For the first hour, enjoy music from small ensembles while also playing a game of cornhole, giving in to tempting concession stand food, getting some facepainting done, trying out an orchestral instrument for the first time at our instrument "petting zoo," or entering to have a chance to play with the orchestra or even conduct a piece. Then at 3pm, sit back and enjoy the concert!
This event is all about enjoying a lovely afternoon together, and thanks to your generous support and the support of the Augusta Civic Center, it is a donation-only, free of admission event! Parking is plentiful, the air conditioning is turned up, and the music is familiar and fun!
Later this summer, we'll hold our second annual Augusta Symphony Soirée! This intimate chamber concert and evening gathering, which will have Maestro Park joining us in the ranks as a player, will be held in the Fireside Lounge at UMA on Friday, August 21st at 7pm. More information and tickets will be available on our website soon!
