Established in 2020, STEVE SMITH Trial Lawyers is one of Maine’s fastest-growing law firms. We’re expanding our litigation practice and have an immediate opening for a talented full-time Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys in our Civil Law practice group. The ideal candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong technology skills, and be highly organized and detail oriented. This candidate should also be familiar with both Federal Practices and the Maine legal landscape. The Litigation Paralegal will be responsible for frequently interacting with clients, courts, and co-workers, preparing, and filing all necessary court documents, obtaining, and organizing all necessary documentation for trial, preparing all exhibits, and making them readily available at trial. Other responsibilities include attorney scheduling, billing, and case management.

SKILLS:

- Prior Law Experience preferred.

- College Degree or Paralegal Certification.

- Excellent writing and communication skills.

- Excellent legal research skills and familiarity with legal documents.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to be self-sufficient and meet deadlines.

- Able to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe, Zoom.

Job Type:Full-Time

Pay: $50,000 - $64,000
