Bug Maine-ia introduces museum guests to insects of all kinds! Explore the many fascinating ways that bugs affect our lives; bugs as pets, pests, food, art, and pollinators! Join the buzzing at the Museum and get up close to some of the world’s most amazing insects! Check out an exotic beetle necklace, sample edible insects, observe the art of fly tying, or hold a tarantula in the palm of your hand!

The Maine State Museum is open Tuesday through Friday 9am-5pm, Saturday 10am-4pm, closed Sunday, Monday, and all State holidays. Admission is $3 for adults; $2 for senior adults over age 62 and children 6-18 years of age; children under 6 free. Maximum charge for families is $10.
