Maine's Capital Area

The CARA complex is a private non-profit organization owned and operated/maintained by CARA Board Members and many volunteers. The area developed for outdoor recreational activities is nearly one mile long and includes playing areas for baseball, softball, horseshoes, football, soccer, field hockey, basketball, lacrosse, and cross-country for youths and adults alike. CARA is utilized by the Augusta Little League, Capital Area Youth Softball Association, the Augusta National Guard Babe Ruth League, the Capital Area Soccer Club, the Kennebec Valley Horseshoe Pitchers Association, Kennebec Youth Lacrosse, St. Michael’s School, Cony Middle and High Schools, among others.
