Johnson Hall will open its 2015-2016 season with Sumner McKane's multi-media film This performance will take place in the historic third floor theater. Seating is limited.
Sumner McKane is a filmmaker and composer working along Maine's mid coast. His latest movie, "In the Blood" is a multimedia experience that examines the logging camps of Maine from the early 1800s to the middle of the last century. The movie is largely made up of archival footage and oral history recordings. During the screenings, McKane and a musical partner perform live music to score the piece. "This theater experience will definitely be a walk back in time," said Mike Miclon, Executive and Artistic Director of Johnson Hall. "Both the film and the third flood of our theater are reflective of small town Maine in the mid-1800's."
