This is the Gardiner Rotary Club’s 21st Year hosting a charity golf tournament, and the second year that the Augusta and Gardiner Clubs have partnered to do this.
In 2012, the tournament began being dedicated to the memory of Carl Hubbard, a dedicated Rotarian who passed that year. Carl started playing golf in the early 1950s, playing into his last year. He topped off his golf "career" with 3 holes-in-one, all after the age of 70! His dedication to Rotary was almost as passionate as his love of the game. He dedicated his Gardiner Rotary Club career to educational gift programs, making it easier for many community graduates to attend college.
Proceeds from the golf tournament are used to support the charitable deeds, of both Rotary Clubs, within their communities.
